Malaysian International Fireworks Competition 2008
A few pics to share during Putrajaya fireworks competition featuring China last Saturday with the theme “How the Milky Way was created”. Managed to get a spot at the PICC bridge waterfront and captured some lighting reflections on the surface of the lake. Canada is up next on Aug 20th.

Salam, Muzakir. Being a techie, what settings was the camera on, and where did you take the photo from? I might try and emulate you on the 29th.
Waalaikumussalam, yup you should go on the 29th, but make sure you arrive early. I was there at about 6:30pm and already there were a few photogs (very obvious as their tripods were slung over their shoulders). Took the pics from the waterfront just across the designated carpark at the foot of PICC hill. Dialed in F11, focus on the bridge, ISO 100, bulb mode between 3 sec to 10 sec exposures with cable release, and I used a black card to intermittently block unwanted fireworks "overbloom" or if there's too much smoke.
